20th Anniversary Gathering of Friends of Asia Pacific Regions WAGGGS,
Seoul, South Korea
The 20th Anniversary Gathering of
Friends of Asia Pacific Regions WAGGGS was scheduled from 10 to 19 November
2019 at Seoul, South Korea, attended by members of Friends of Asia Pacific
Regions from all over the globe. FAPW are supporters of the WAGGGS Asia Pacific
Region which comprises over 3.7 million girls across 26 countries. We share the
core belief of enabling these girls to reach their fullest potential as
responsible citizens of the world. Founded in 1999 by Dato Dr Juseun Byun,a
past Chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee which is today chaired by
Miss Winnie She, FAPW makes financial contributions towards improving the lives
of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. We were blessed to be joined by our very own
Miss Hjh Normala bt Baharuddin, the WAGGGS Board Member, and of course members
throughout Malaysia as well. Penang was represented by seven gorgeous ladies,
headed by Dato Chan Kit Sin, Rokiah Wahab, Ramlah Saad, Siti Hajar @ Madeline,
Oh Saw Loon Joyce Ong and Teoh Lye Leng.
There are many places of
interest in Korea where we can entertain ourselves to Korea’s prestine
countryside, beaches and even its metropolitan areas, and these make visitors
to the country would want to come back for more adventures.
Happy faces beaming endlessly, probably because they have accomplished
something great.
